The Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development (JOHUD)-Azem program, funded by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), implemented a special celebration at Princess Basma Center -Irbid for the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

The event featured a variety of distinguished activities combining awareness, entertainment, and creative expression. It began with a welcoming speech, followed by free eye examinations provided by an accredited optics center, offering participants access to exceptional medical services during the celebration.

One of the event’s highlights was the talent show, where participants with disabilities showcased their artistic and creative talents, including poetry, painting, and music, reflecting their exceptional abilities and potential. Additionally, inspiring success stories were shared by beneficiaries of the "Azem" program, highlighting the challenges they overcame and the achievements they accomplished.

The event was attended by 55 participants, including 13 Jordanians (14 women and 9 men) and 32 Syrian refugees (21 women and 11 men). The celebration concluded with interactive games that enhanced a sense of community and added an atmosphere of fun and joy. The remarkable attendance added a festive spirit to the occasion.
