يوم الأرض هو حدث سنوي يقام في 22 أبريل لإظهار الدعم لحماية البيئة. وقد انعقد لأول مرة في 22 أبريل 1970، وهو يتضمن الآن مجموعة واسعة من الأحداث التي يتم تنسيقها عالميًا, حيث كانت الفكرة من يوم الأرض هي جعله وسيلة لإشراك الشعب بقضايا البيئة، ودفع تلك القضايا إلى الأجندة الوطنية.
تماشيا مع المسؤوليه المجتمعيه و دور المجتمع في حمايه والحفاظ على البيئه و بمناسبة يوم الارض و ضمن مشروع لجان الدعم المجتمعي الذي ينفذه الصندوق الأردني الهاشمي للتنمية البشرية (جهد) وبتمويل من المفوضية السامية للأمم المتحدة لشؤون اللاجئين لجنة عجلون قامت لجنة عجلون بتنفيذ نشاط "بيئتنا حياتنا" في مقر الهلال الأحمر الأردني وهو المقر الرئيسي للجنة عجلون.
بدأت فعاليات النشاط بندوة بيئية حول مخاطر حرائق الغابات واهمية زراعة الأشجار بالتعاون مع مديريات الدفاع المدني والزراعة والبيئة والادارة الملكية لحماية البيئة ومشروع عزم وهيئة شباب كلنا الاردن وجمعية البيئة الاردنية ومنتدى نبض الثقافي ومجلس الخدمات المشتركة برعاية مساعد المحافظ.
و استكمالا للنشاط التوعوي اللذي عقد بحضور 85 مشاركًا (37 امرأة و48 رجال) من اللاجئين والمجتمع المضيف، 9 منهم من كبار السن، حيث قام الحضور بزراعة الاشجار في المواقع التي حددتها اللجنة وكتابة شخص كل اسمه على الشجرة التي زرعها ليتم بين فترة واخرى العناية والاهتمام بها من قبلهم حيث لاقت هذه الفكرة اهتماما كبيرا من قبل جميع المشاركين كما تخلل النشاط أيضا جلسة حوارية مع كبار السن من قبل أعضاء مشروع عزم.

Earth Day is an annual event held on April 22 to show support for environmental protection. It was first held on April 22, 1970, and now includes a wide range of events that are coordinated globally. The idea of Earth Day was to make it a way to engage people with environmental issues and push those issues onto the national agenda.
In line with social responsibility and the role of society in protecting and preserving the environment, on the occasion of Earth Day, and within the community support committees project implemented by the Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development (JOHUD) and with funding from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the Ajloun Committee implemented the "Our environment is our life" activity. "At the headquarters of the Jordanian Red Crescent, which is the main headquarters of the Ajloun Committee
The activities began with an environmental symposium on the dangers of forest fires and the importance of planting trees, in cooperation with the Directorates of Civil Defense, Agriculture, Environment, the Royal Administration for Environmental Protection, the Azem Project, the We Are All Jordan Youth Authority, the Jordanian Environmental Society, the Nabad Cultural Forum, and the Joint Services Council, under the auspices of the Assistant Governor.
As a continuation of the awareness-raising activity that was held in the presence of 85 participants (37 women and 48 men) from the refugees and the host community, including 9 elderly people, the attendees planted trees in the sites specified by the committee and each person wrote his name on the tree that he planted so that care and attention would be given from time to time. It was presented by them, as this idea received great interest from all participants. The activity also included a dialogue session with the elderly by members of the Azem Project.
